Police are reminding the public to be aware of oil theft, and recommend simple checks.
Officers say this is an opportunistic crime, which is far more likely to happen at this time of year.
It's advised to secure your oil tanks, check levels regularly, and restrict access where possible by locking the lid of the tank.
Any suspicious activity should be reported to police.
