An IoM police recruitment campaign ends today with new recruits expected to start work in the new year.
The Manx force has been recruiting both regular and special (part-time volunteer) constables.
A spokesman said they've been on the look out for hardworkers who can demonstrate patience, courage, flexibility and the ability to think and act quickly.
In his annual report this year earlier this year, the chief constable said retaining new police recruits has become "challenging".
Gary Roberts added that over the past year, several new officers left the force, with some saying the work was more difficult than expected.
