£140,000 worth of cannabis was seized on Island over the weekend as it was attempted to be smuggled in off the boat.
On Saturday, Police and Customs Officers stopped a vehicle coming off the Seacat sailing from Liverpool.
Upon searching the car the drugs were found, a 51 year old woman was then arrested and taken to Police Headquarters for questioning.
Police Drugs Detection Dog 'Snoopy' and his handler, PC Ray Brondon made the discovery.
A woman from the Merseyside area appeared in Court yesterday, charged with importation and possession of cannabis with intent to supply.
The amount seized is considerable and goes down as the single biggest seizure the Island has had to date.
