Police probe after social care data leak

Police are investigating after a recording device was stolen from the Department of Health and Social Care.

It had been used by the Children and Families Social Care Division to record meetings and was taken from secured premises.

The department says it's informed the two affected service users and the Office of the Information Commissioner.

It says the recording of meetings is 'not currently routine' and is only done at the request of the service user.
