Police have thanked Braddan Primary School and Bus Vannin for their help after a collision yesterday.
It comes following a collision between a female pedestrian and car, which resulted in Braddan Road being closed.
Whilst officers investigated it meant the main entrance to the school was inaccessible, therefore parents couldn't pick their children up.
A joint effort by the school, police and Bus Vannin ensured children were taken by bus to a nearby car park to be safely picked up.
Officers say Bus Vannin provided two double-decker buses at very short notice, to transport more than 150 children to the Vagabond Rugby Club.
The constabulary says although it may not sound much, Bus Vannin really 'pulled out the stops' and kept stress to a minimum for the children.
