A female police officer has appeared in court charged with assault.
The Isle of Man Constabulary has confirmed that the serving officer appeared in court on 27th December and has been suspended.
No pleas were entered as 31-year old PC Charlene Dooley from Laxey was accused of assault, causing actual bodily harm and affray - said to have been committed outside of her duties.
PC Dooley was bailed until her next appearance on the 14th January.
