The police are holding a meeting in Douglas tonight to discuss issues affecting diverse groups.
Officers want to engage more with the continually evolving community.
In the meeting officers will be discussing their work so far and asking for opinions on how to drive the work forward.
The open consultation forum is at 7PM at Ballacloan School on Demesne Road.
This work is being championed by Deputy Chief Constable Gary Roberts who said 'Our intention is still to build a strategy and working, practical partnership that is real and acknowledges the diversity of the Island in 2010. We have been working hard to improve our knowledge of issues affecting members of diverse groups and to build and improve relationships. It is the right time to discuss this work and seek more input and we really do need people from across the Island’s communities to come and speak to us.'
The Constabulary would be grateful if anyone wishing to attend the forum notify their interest to Lynn LeGuillou on 631227 or at lynn.leguillou@gov.im
