Police are asking the public not to remove felled trees from the roadside.
It follows an incident where wood has been removed from Peel Road in Douglas after felling work was carried out by the Department of Infrastructure.
Trees which have been felled are the property of the landowner - whether or not it has been left for removal.
People have been asked to remain vigilant and report any suspicious behaviour to officers.
