Three drivers have been hit with fines and points on their licenses after speeding in the south of the Island.
Officers say the motorists were caught going over 45mph in a 30mph zone.
On social media the force said 'It is not a valid excuse to exceed the speed limit because you've just washed your car and needed to dry it.'
As a result, the constabulary is once again urging motorists to slow down on local roads.
