Police have issued a list of direct-dial phone numbers they say will relieve the pressure on police headquarters.
The list includes local police stations as well as specific parts of the Constabulary that people often contact.
Sergeant Gav Callow says in an emergency, people should still dial 999 rather than try to contact one of the numbers.
He says he hopes the list will make officers more accessible:
