An appeal for information has gone out following a major theft over night on a building site.
Access was gained to the heritage homes site on Quine’s Corner in Douglas sometime between yesterday evening and 5.30am this morning.
A large amount of expensive tools by various manufacturers including Dewalt, Hilti and Bosch have been taken as well as 3 rolls of grade 4, 300 mm wide lead.
As the gear would have been very heavy to move it's thought more than one person was involved and a vehicle would have been used to transport it away.
Sergeant Ged Power has said there is a strong likelyhood the goods will now be sold on, so if anyone has any information they are urged to contact Douglas Police Station on 631212.
