Police hunt motorist who hit pedestrian

Police are hunting the driver of a car which hit a man as he was crossing the road in Douglas.

It happened at around 10pm last Wednesday on Hillside Avenue - the vehicle, which was travelling towards the old Noble's Hospital, didn't stop.

The pedestrian received injuries to his leg and hand although they were not serious.

However officers say the consequences could have been fatal and have urged the motorist to come forward.
