Parents on social media say they feel let down by education authorities after an incident at a Douglas school this morning.
On social media this afternoon, St Ninian's High School said its Lower School had seen 'an incident', but gave no further details.
On Facebook, a number of mums reported they were trying to contact the school amid rumours a pupil had a knife.
Many criticised what they said was a lack of communication from the school.
Police have since confirmed they were called to the school and nobody was hurt.
