Former Island Resident Died of Blunt Force Trauma to her Head
It’s now been confirmed that the body found in the hunt for Joanna Brown, is that of the former Island resident.
The Thames Valley Police made the discovery in an area of woodland near Great Windsor Park in Berkshire on Friday evening.
A post-mortem has found that she died from a severe blunt force trauma to the head, aswell as associated complications.
Her ex-husband Robert Brown, a BA Pilot was charged with her murder on Friday, he’ll appear back in court tomorrow.
It’s known that they were currently embroiled in a bitter divorce battle regarding a pre nuptial agreement.
Mother of two Joanna spent a significant portion of her life on the Isle of Man in her younger years attending the Buchan School.
Her late father Christopher Simpson was a renound property developer on the Island, her mother and other family members still live here.
She had been running a highly acclaimed bed and breakfast service at her sprawling £3million Ascot mansion.
Those close to her described her as a very special person, saying she was loved and admired by everyone.
