Head Road in Douglas is currently closed as the emergency services deal with an ongoing incident.
Little is known currently although police confirmed to our reporter that the incident is happening on Taubman Terrace.
There has been a heavy police presence in the area for a number of hours now - many of the attending officers are dressed in riot gear, with civil defence also in attendance.
The road is blocked off to motorists and pedestrians - access to some residents is being maintained along the Gas Work steps.
