Police say they've issued 15 defect notices this morning, after stopping 25 vehicles.
Operation Uplift hopes to tackle anti-social driving, and improve vehicles standards - officers were out with staff from the vehicle testing centre near Ronaldsway Airport.
They say they dealt with 25 vehicles, with seven people asked to produce their insurance and 15 defect notices for issues like tyres.
Officers are urging people to make sure their documentation is up to date and their vehicles are fit for the roads.
