Police are asking scrap dealers to keep an eye out after reports of catalytic converters being cut from vehicles.
Officers say the offence took place on private land in Ballaugh, and only benefits the thieves if they can sell the stolen items to scrap merchants.
Anyone approached by individuals is asked to contact police, and report any other suspicious behaviour.
The Constabulary will continue patrolling rural areas and Port security have been made aware in case anyone tries to leave the Island with the stolen items.
