Police are urging motorists to work with them to try and clamp down on bad drivers.
The Roads Policing Unit is asking people who contact them about incidents on the roads to leave better evidence saying the more information they have the more they can do to keep roads safe.
Officers say without the details it will limit how effectively they can intervene leaving some motorists 'oblivious' to the fact they've drawn attention to themselves.
They say they'll always try and protect their source - and sometimes that information is a small part of a bigger job which will make a difference in removing a dangerous road user from the highways.
