Plenty on today's Tynwald agenda

The November sitting of Tynwald will get underway this morning and it’s set to be a busy one.

There are 39 questions on the Order Paper today including 23 for oral answer and 16 for written.

Peter Karran and Alf Cannan are querying the effects of wind farm developments in the Irish Sea with the latter MHK quizzing Infrastructure Minister David Cretney about his department’s safety concerns.

Economic Development Minister John Shimmin has questions to answer about his department’s dealings with Signature Sponsorship LTD and how plans are progressing for a new five star hotel and casino complex.

And Onchan MHK Zac Hall is calling for statistics from the Home Affairs Minister about how much it costs to keep inmates at the prison as well as figures to show how many people have absconded from the Island after being granted bail.
