Education Minister Daphne Caine says the problem of chatter during performances at the Villa Marina is being taken seriously.
She faced a question for written reply from Arbory, Castletown and Malew MHK Jason Moorhouse about measures taken to ensure noise doesn't spoil anyone's enjoyment at the venue.
In response, Mrs Caine said workers at the Villa are considering playing a recorded message before shows reminding audiences about conversations.
And she says there's also more security staff at bigger events to help tackle any problems.
