The Department of Education, Sport and culture has applied for planning permission to make changes at a Manx-speaking school in St Johns.
The proposals at the Bunscoill Ghaelgagh on Main Road would see two windows removed from the side of the building.
In their place would be an extra door to give youngsters direct access to the play area.
The plans would also see a timber shed moved to make room for a concrete platform and steps leading down.
