An iconic Island landmark could be getting a new visitor entrance - if planners give the go-ahead.
Manx National Heritage has applied for permission to replace the existing entrance building at The Laxey Wheel with a new block that would include staff facilities.
MNH says the existing turnstile kiosk was built in 1986 but doesn't meet modern standards, providing no shelter and only limited retail space.
It wants to demolish the building and replace it with a modern single storey structure.
