New proposals have been put forward to alter the layout of bus stops in Castletown.
The Department of Infrastructure wants to change the existing stops at The Parade, with the aim of making them more accessible to those who may have mobility issues.
In the application, the DOI are hoping to replace the shelters and raise the kerbs on both the northbound and southbound side to allow passengers to get on and off buses safely but also to give the buses better positioning on the road.
The department adds the stops see high footfall of, on average, up to 12,000 passengers a month, but in their current state are not disability acess friendly.
