Plans have been submitted for a cancer support centre at Noble's Hospital.
Mannin Cancers of Onchan says it'll take a long-term lease to operate the facility which it says will provide information and support for cancer sufferers and their families.
The centre has been inspired by the UK's 'Maggie's' and is aimed to introduce non-clinical services and support mechanisms in the hopes people can relax and have a 'safe haven.'
The charity had previously said the centre would cost around £1.7 million and open next year.
If the proposals are approved, the project would be built outside the hospital's main entrance opposite the Keyll Darree facility.
