Plans for TT World Series to be progressed to next level

This latest step is designed to further research the idea, looking at feasibility and practicality.

The Department of Economic Development are inviting expressions of interest from individuals and businesses to help progress plans for a TT Races World Championship Series to the next level.

The move comes as the Department look to capitalise on the growing popularity of the TT brand, creating additional revenue streams from the event.

This latest step is designed to further research the idea, looking at feasibility and practicality.

The World Series would see 6 races established around the world, with America and Asia earmarked as possible locations.

In an effort not to detract from the Isle of Man the series would culminate here in June for the traditional TT races.

Head of Motorsport on the Island, Trevor Hussy, told 3FM that aswell as being a strong source of revenue it will also give fans and biking enthusiasts the chance to watch the event all over the world.
