Prisoners on the Isle of Man may soon be able to use e-cigarettes whilst behind bars.
The Department of Home Affairs will ask Tynwald to approve changes to the custody rules.
It wants to trial the use of specialist disposable e-cigarettes for six months.
The department says it will save £15,000 a year on the cost of supplying nicotine replacement therapy.
