There are plans to install 60 solar panels at a farm in the north.
Loughen-E-Yeigh Farm (Loch-en-ee-yee) outside Ramsey is applying for permission to do so.
It says the reduction in C02 emissions from the power system would be equivalent to 216 trees planted.
The panel array would measure 30 metres by four metres in size.
