Planners have given the go-ahead for improvements to the TT winners' enclosure at the grandstand.
The Department for Enterprise's motorsports team applied for permission to extend and resurface at the area southwest of the main Grandstand building.
A planning officer said although a grassed area would be removed, it was relatively small and the development would benefit racing without having an impact on Noble's Park.
Planners voted to approve the scheme.
