A golf club in Santon has applied for permission to build a tunnel beneath a road linking its course.
The Comis Hotel & Golf Resort has applied for planning permission to build an underpass under Ballacutchel Road.
In its application it says to play a complete round of 18 holes, its players have to cross the road at two points.
It says building the short concrete tunnel would mean players and golf buggies could access the whole course without braving the road.
