The Island’s health minister says there’s a plan to begin tackling dentist waiting lists, after figures showed the number waiting to get a dentist has more than tripled since 2022.
Manx Care’s latest figures show 5,500 people are waiting to be allocated a dentist – in July 2022 that figure was just over 1,700.
On Twitter, Lawrie Hooper MHK says he’s been saying for some time NHS dentistry is “fundamentally broken” and “in need of serious reform”.
Now, the man in charge of health services says there's a plan to being tackling it this year.
