Douglas council says it wants to put 6,000 tonnes of soil down in Noble's Park to level off a wonky football pitch.
The local authority has submitted a planning application to correct the pitch, which it says slopes across its width and undulates from end to end.
The plans involve laying 4,000 tonnes of subsoil and 2,000 tonnes of topsoil to even it out, as well as expanding it slightly.
If the proposals are approved, the soil would be delivered by 20-ton trucks from Ballaughton nursery.
