The Manx Wild Bird Aid was called to retrieve two pigeons that had set up home in JD Sports in Douglas.
Staff called the charity as the birds had become trapped and unable to find their way out, and they were worried they would trip the alarm overnight.
As the store has a very high ceiling, the pigeons weren't the easiest to catch, and weren't willing to leave through the open door.
After some nifty net work, the pigeons were caught by volunteers and released onto the promenade.
