Police are appealing for information after a pigeon was hit with a homemade blow dart.
The constabulary says the bird was found in the Pulrose area on Sunday, November 3, with the item embedded in its wing - authorities say the animal is recovering well.
Officers say it's illegal to injure or kill a bird without lawful authority and possessing a blow pipe in a public place is also against the law.
Anyone with information which could assist Police with their enquiries into the matter are being asked to contact the Wildlife Crime Unit on 631 212.
