Police say they didn't issue parking fines to two TT bikers on Monday.
It's after two officers were photographed seeming to issue parking tickets to bikes belonging to European visitors - the snaps were shared to a Facebook group and attracted hundreds of comments.
On Whatsapp, officers say the location on Loch Promenade is for pedestrians and other vehicles had been parked illegally in the same place.
And they add the "tickets" were actually advice notes and no money was being demanded.
