Manx Care is encouraging Manx residents to familiarise themselves with the Minor Ailments Scheme and how it can help.
The scheme is operated through most of the Island's local community pharmacies and means you can potentially get faster access to treatment for common conditions you'd normally need a prescription for.
Recently there has been an increase in people seeking treatment for these conditions from GP's and hospitals because they are unaware that can receive support from their local community pharmacy.
Not everyone will be eligible for treatment under the Minor Ailments Scheme depending on age and pre-existing medical conditions - you can check this with your community pharmacy.
