Pets At Home has applied for permission to build an animal treatment and grooming facility.
It wants to extend its premises on the Spring Valley Industrial Estate in Douglas by building a mezzanine floor.
Measuring 254 square metres this would contain three consulting rooms, a small operating theatre, laboratory, pharmacy and grooming area.
If successful it would be open in line with the retail hours of the pet superstore.
