Tynwald is to discuss a petition demanding all supermarkets be forced to buy, supply and promote Manx produce.
The Manx National Farmers Union has submitted the petition, which is due to be debated by the court during its December sitting.
In it, the body says Tynwald should force Island supermarkets to sell Island-produced food and drink - introducing new laws if necessary.
And the petition says the Island's parliament should prioritise using locally-grown food across all government services.
