Petition looking to bring in harsher punishments for paedophiles

The law needs to reflect the suffering inflicted on victims by paedophiles.

That's the message from a woman who has experienced it first hand.
 
Special needs nursery nurse Lisa Taylor is spearheading a petition to implore the courts for harsher sentences for child abusers - 560 people have signed it. 
 
Treasury Minister Eddie Teare, Economic Development Minister Laurence Skelly, Infrastructure Minister Phil Gawne, and MHKs Bill Henderson and Leonard Singer have all written letters to her - pledging their support. 
 
Lisa was abused at the age of four until she was eight; she believes it has resulted in her diagnoses of bi-polar and borderline personality disorder. 
 
She says the public are boosting her conviction to make a difference:
