A petition has been launched to remove the new bus and cycle lane on Glencrutchery Road.
Marion Griffiths - an Onchan woman who started the petition says the lane has resulted in 'significant traffic congestion' due to vehicles being unable to use the left filter lane at St Ninian's traffic lights.
The lane was implemented last month to ease traffic flow, following the introduction of the one-way system on Douglas promenade.
However, Ms.Griffiths says the new measure needs to be reviewed.
The petition has so far generated more than 2,200 signatures.
