A petition has been launched calling for fairer prices for school uniforms on Island.
Those behind it say current costs are too much, and as children get older they need to be replaced over time and meeting the financial demands puts huge pressure on families.
They also argue this can impact on children's mental and physical health if pupils end up being punished for having incorrect attire due to a situation they're not in charge.
The Island's Education Minister, Dr Alex Allinson MHK, was quizzed on the subject in Tynwald last week, and stated the matter has been raised with the Island's Education Council and they're aware of the burden this can place on families.
He went on to say parents and carers can speak to their child's headteacher to discuss the issue if they're facing difficulties.
Meanwhile, the petition has so far gathered over 300 signatures.
