An online petition against fluoridating the Island's water supply has attracted more than 270 signatures.
The petition was set up by Iain Mack earlier this month, after Tynwald asked the public health directorate to prepare a research paper on the subject.
That report's due to be considered by the Council of Ministers by December.
The petition, on the gopetition.com website, claims fluoridation will lower IQs and could cause cancer.
