Pet owners are urged to bare their animals in mind today with it being Bonfire Night.
Appeals are put out year on year to ensure that dogs and cats are kept secured in doors whilst the festivities are going on and the fireworks are being let off.
As fireworks are expected to be going off throughout the day you're asked to keep your pets in doors from this afternoon.
Jayne O Connor from the MSPCA said things like playing music and drawing the curtains are simple measures that can significantly distract the animals from what’s going on outside.
