Ramsey is in a state of ‘flux’ following business closures in the northern town.
That’s the view of the authority which says, despite this, commissioners are still hopeful for the future of retail businesses.
TT racer Conor Cummins’ coffee shop Conrods, on Parliament Street, closed last week (20 January) due to ‘many uncertainties’ surrounding hospitality.
Although the authority can’t do anything directly to support local outlets, it says events over Christmas encouraged shop owners to ‘dress up’.
