The Manx Wildlife Trust is asking that people are extra careful that plastic isn’t blown out to sea during strong winds.
It comes as a herring gull has been spotted in Peel with a plastic cone around its neck.
The charity says it was walking past Fenella Beach.
It adds that unfortunately this bird flew away, but if it’s seen again and is in a position to be caught, you can contact the Manx Wild Bird Aid.
