As the nation struggles to stay warm amid the cost-of-living crisis, some are putting themselves and their homes at risk.
That's according to the Island's Fire Service - which says some people are using 'questionable methods' to heat their homes this Winter.
It adds some firefighters in the UK have found residents leaving their hob on unattended to try and generate heat.
Meanwhile, at another home - someone had used a hairdryer to try and combat the chilly conditions.
Whilst the fire service says it's 'completely understandable' to try and find cheaper ways to heat homes, it adds these methods can put people and properties at risk.
