A drive will begin this week to encourage people to be more conscious about their health and well-being.
Serious long-term health conditions impact heavily on the Island's NHS which is already stretched and struggling to meet demands.
The Department of Health is getting behind International Self Care Day which raises awareness of the issue.
Staff with expertise in a number of areas including mental and physical
health will be speaking to members of the public at the Strand Shopping Centre
in Douglas tomorrow.
