Reservoir levels are being monitored and water has been transferred from a number of reservoirs to supplement the supply to the Water Treatment Works.
Despite outbreaks of showers there is no significant rainfall predicted in the near future.
Water quality manager Karen Westcott says while there is no ban in place people need to be mindful:
