People asked to 'shareaheart' on Safer Internet Day

People on the Isle of Man are being urged to show 'respect and kindness' online.

Today is Safer Internet Day - Manx Telecom and the police have joined forces to remind people that it shouldn't be a "scary place".

Web users are being encouraged to share a positive message on social media and use the hashtag 'shareaheart'.
