Manx Utilities says it's overcome an obstacle to building a sewage treatment works in Peel after winning a planning appeal.
The project had looked to go ahead after winning planning permission, but the owner of a nearby field - which has planning permission for 21 homes - had appealed.
However, the appeal has now been thrown out, meaning work should get underway in the New Year.
It's hoped the facility will be fully up and running by the end of 2027.
