Manx Utilities says it's still waiting for the result of a planning appeal against a sewage treatment plant in Peel.
The organisation has put the latest update on its regional treatment strategy on its website.
In it, it says it's awaiting the outcome of a hearing into the appeal against the decision to give the plant planning permission.
But Manx Utilities says if planning approval is upheld it could start building work early in the New Year.
